Island Olib

Olib is located in the northwest part of Zadar’s islands. The most high point Kalac (74m) is situated on the north part of island. Olib has a reach vegetation, mostly in the west part. The narrow centre part of island has the bays around.

Olib is only one village at island. The first information about the island are from 10th century (Aloip). Village Olib with small harbour is situated on the coast of large bay with amazing sand beach. On the east is a large and shallow bay Slatnica. In the bay Banve, south from village are reminds of church and monastery, which were destroyed around a year 1200.
